I have had this happen a few  times but this time it isn't fixing itself. Before it would run really slow for a couple of weeks and then one day it would just start running right and not lag. This last tie however it hasn't fixed itself yet. I read something about the graphics driver and going back to an older one or something but the one in it is from 2015. Any Ideas where to start?

Wrote this to help with programming out Fadal 6030 mill. It still needs some tweaking I'm sure but right now it will add the G43 line as long as your H and D are the same number as your tool number. It does at least put the line in where you can change it if needed. Also puts a G49 at the end. There may be one on here already and if so point me to it as I'd like to see what is different if anything.

Post Processors (*.cbpp) / Processor for Fanuc Wire EDM
« on: March 01, 2022, 11:44:30 am »
I wrote this the other day to help with writing programs for our EDM.  It's still a work in progress as there are some more things I want it to do but I've got to figure them out. It will add the G92 command as well as call up the Epack or info by inputting that number as the plunge rate. Also turns on M86 and M46.  I want to learn how to change the template so that instead of saying Plunge rate it will say Epack number or something like that. if anyone has information on how to do that let me know. Thanks!!!

we have a profile that we need to mill in the YZ axis. I can draw it then import into CB but once I start rotating it when I get where it should be the profile changes. I want to use a ball endmill and step it over for the width of the part. I can hand code it but want to be able to use CB for making the code if possible. I am attaching what I am wanting to mill and what CB come up with when i rotate everything. It's something simple I'm sure but I cant figure it out.

First file ( Bottom form) is the profile looking from the side view. I want to be able to use a 0.5 ball endmill to mill this profile about 6 inches wide. When I turn the profile in CB it makes the radius's go off to the sides instead of running true on the axis. 2nd photo shows after rotating it in CB.

if someone can tell me what I'm doing wrong I would appreciate it. I have the Stl file to machine with the 3d option but I haven't figured out how to just cut the top using that and not having the mill do down on the front and back sides yet.

CamBam help (General usage) / Need help on how to mill this
« on: May 11, 2021, 20:08:44 pm »
I am trying to use Cambam to mill a radiused pocket in a round piece of wood.  I have actually done this before but it's been a while and I can't get it to run right. I am including the CB file along with a DXF and STL. It is basically a 24inch piece of round wood with a 2 inch flat in the bottom and _0.931 deep and a 56.25 radius out to the edge. I can make it do the convex fine but all I seem to get with this is flat lines across the top. I  have an Anilam that I can program to do this but it doesn't have enough travel to run this block so Am going ot have to use a Fadal or cut the diameter down some.

Could someone look at this and tell me what I am doing wrong so I can write it down for next time please. Thanks in advance!

Lathes and Turning / haas TL-! having trouble with radius cutting
« on: August 12, 2020, 13:09:23 pm »
I'm trying to use CB for  some simple lathe stuff just to keep from hand writing the programs. I have modified the processor some to get a few  things to work but I haven't gotten it all figured out. I will attach files and pictures to show what it is doing. I draw a simple profile to run with no radius and just lines and angles. For some reason when it writes the code it is putting G2 a d G3 moves in and I am getting a  I,J,K error when I try running it.

I'm thinking it is something in the settings but I can't figure out what it is. I would really appreciate if someone could look at this and see what I am doing wrong or if someone has a processor set up for a Haas lathe that works and could share.
 Thanks!!

CamBam help (General usage) / Using Cambam to program an older wire EDM
« on: February 15, 2018, 15:11:49 pm »
I know this wasn't written for this but has anyone ever used CB to program the geometry on a wire EDM? We just acquired a 1993 model Fanuc with a 16wa controller. It does have some canned cycles on it but the way I read the manual you either have to hand program it or draw your geometry on the machine ( time consuming..)

The people we got it from said they used a regular CAM program to do this but they only cut real simple stuff. If CB cant be used does anyone know of a inexpensive CAD-CAM that can be used?
Thanks!
