Members Projects / "Thing" for carrying my Kemper "Toaster" Amp

Hi there,


Just let me show you my last X-Mas CNC project !

The box is made of hidden finger-jointed plywood, the longhorn inlays are made of mahagony.

All my stuff is now completely arranged and fixed.

Ready to go !



- The Toaster (of course)

- Inear transmitter

- an EQ for the inear

- Line6 G50 Receiver

- a multiple socket with 4 slots for powersupply

- a drawer for the small things

- a new bracket (I do not trust the original strap for the complete weight)

Scripts and Plugin Help / c# - Plugin Questions

Dear all,

on my brave way from Script-Yedi to Plugin-Yedi I decided to convert & improve my
one-and-only-super-duper-auto-magic python script  into a real plugin.

I fear a lot of upcoming questions ... so the title is very common.
(I do NOT like python)
The way creating a plugin using C# is done.

Question of the day :

How to remove a layer ?

newdoc = CamBamUI.MainUI.ActiveView.CADFile;
newdoc.Layers[i].???????????????
Cannot find a remove, delete or somewhat.
Wrong way ?

what´s wrong with that polyline ?
Wanted to mill it outside, but result is always inside.

Bug, feature or dummie in front of the screen ?

A bunch of work - but worth the effort.
Much more deTAILed than comparable stuff I saw in the web.
It´s maple with mahagony inlays and parts.

One of my masterpieces - and definitely not for sale !

Bug Reports / Spiral Lead : Lead-In/Out-Angel of 90 degrees doesn´t cut vertical

Instead of expected vertikal lead-in/out it results in behaviour of setting to zero.

CamBam help (General usage) / Deep engraving in one direction possible ?

Actually I try to abuse engraving for fast rounding the corner of my cutting boards.
For that I prefer milling alway in the same direction.

Example :
A simple line from left to right, D.Inc. is 2, desired depth is -4.

Engrave MOP
1. down to -2,
2. mill from left to right
3. down to -4
4. mill from right to left

So far so good, usually this is fine.

But I want

1. down to -2,
2. mill from left to right
3. up to security heigth, move to start point
4. down to -4
4. mill from right to left

Is there a simple trick do this ?

Stackable, lockable, portable.

Problem dxf files etc... / What´s wrong with these polylines ?

I surely CAMBAMed hundreds or thousands of polylines, but I can see that for the first time.

The MOP inside is just a plain copy from MOP outside.
The I set to inside.

Creating toolpaths I get an error message : "Specified cast is not valid."



Any ideas ?

Scripts and Plugin Help / Creating holding tabs using a pointlist possible by script ?

Couldn´t find any informations (oh, these dark sunglasses ...) about that,
maybe I don´t know the correct terms for searching.

Did anybody ever made this ?
In the MOP I found some point definition, but the usage is not clear to me.

The goal is creating the tabs using a python script, which shall collect all points of a layer
to a list and create the holding tabs automatically based upon the pointlist.
Of course - the points have to be located on or nearby the polylines to be processed.

Is that possible ?

CamBam help (General usage) / UAC Problem since Win10 upgrade 1903

Yesterday this f...g-damned win10 forced me to do the latest upgrades...
and BAM - there´s trouble with CAMBAM.
All worked fine until yesterday ... grrrrrrrrrrrrrmpfffff...

It started with asking for the CB license key. I entered, CB started correctly.

But now :

At each start of CB I have to enter the administrator´s password for UAC
("do you want to allow this app to make changes to your computer ?")

I´ve set all shortcuts and .exe to Win7 compatibility and "run as administrator",
for all users. Did not help.

I reinstalled CB. Did not help.

Any ideas ? This is really annoying !
