CamBam files (*.cb) / Nema 23 mount
« on: September 20, 2007, 20:30:54 pm »
Hi everyone,
first time poster, professional lurker.
This is nothing special, but as there are only 2 example files listed so far, I'd like to offer something simple.
This .cb file is a mount for a nema 23 stepper motor, made out of 18mm MDF, but easily adapted to whatever material you choose. The whole part is 100mm x 100mm x 18mm, the centre hole is 15mm dia & full depth. The larger central hole is for a 608 skate bearing at 22mm O/D and is profiled at half depth (3.5mm) to allow for alignment to whatever it is attached to, using the bearing as a centre. The next four set of holes are for mounting the stepper to the mount. They are profiled to 3mm depth, to allow an M4 nut to be pressed in captively. The 8 outermost holes are for M6 mounting bolts, to allow the mount to be universally attached to your machine.
Hope this is of some use to someone out there.
Many, many, many thanks to Andy (10Bulls) for making this wonderful program and taking on the suggestions of his userbase to make it even better. Thanks also to Mr. Bean, Arie, EL34, Doanwannapickle etc., for offering suggestions, providing examples of their problems and work-arounds and generally making this forum THE BEST place for support of an EXCELLENT, FREE CAM program!
Regards,
Mickster.
