Hello guys  and gals,  I got an age old message here and I can't remember what causes it. " Object reference not set to an instance of a object. I am just going to engrave a sign. I started out with the sign on the wrong axis so I rotated it it and now I get this old saying.

Mark , play with the program some . Try all the letters. I have found to get the best results ,sometimes I have to lie to cambam. He only does what he is told . By that I mean , sometimes my tool choice is not the best, or I might want a different effect . I'll tell cambam one tool, and use a different tool .  This works when you have problems like you mentioned . Some letters are odd to cut  with a slightly larger bit. Again play around and learn the program , There is none better . I make a bunch of signs, and use a lot of crazy fonts.  Windows is full of them.

I'll second this. I just made a bunch of table signs. The single stroke font works great. Just install them in windows just like any other.Mine show up when I enter "text" in cambam.

LLoyd, the other day you had mentioned "Shars".   I've cut quite a bit of the acrylic on my router with a bit I got from them. It's a single flute carbide but, it's way sharper than my regular mills. I got this on his reccomendation. It does a real nice job, just slow down the feed if it starts to get gummy.

I agree also . The heavier the machine ,the more I would say . Even a dry way , or bearing adds up here.Send a file, someone here could run it and check to see what's what.
