CamBam help (General usage) / Brown and Sharpe Dial Idicator Mw214
« on: July 10, 2023, 23:11:50 pm »
So I have had this jewel hanging around for a couple of years now and barely gave it a glance. So I have a need for it now to check the calibration on my axises. Low and behold .0005 increments and .5 throw. Well I check my little machine and it is working out OK .003 to .005 repeatability is what they are claiming right out of the box. Never did check it new but right now its running .0045. Not bad for a machine that's 7 years old and a bolt together kit. I am doing wood work for the most part and i would like to have the capability of doing some aluminium in the near future. That's what all the fuss is about when it comes to calibrating the mill out. I think that the dial indicator was an Ebay buy. Anyways i am happy with the machine and dial indicator. The machine is an Avid bolt together kit CRP 4848. Looks like it may work out. YEA!!!

Bummer to hear about the failures. I have been running nema 23's set at 5 amps for about 7 years with no problems. Hopefully the nema 34's don't smoke my Gecko's. You are running Leadshine's right? How are they working out for you. Yea I been paying attention to your post's.  So basically leave well enough alone.

Should I dare set the current on it's top current setting of 7 amps, I am driving a KL34H2160-62-8A-Key Stepper motor and yes the driver is Gecko 201X and the motor as you can tell in the nomenclature is rated at a max amperage of 8 Amps. The power supply for now is 48 volts. Thanks for the input! Have a good day.

Hey LLoyd haven't talked in a while. I know what you mean about real estate be at a premium. I to work in cramped space. 2 car garage filled with a 4x4 mill, table saw with a 48" fence hung on it,benches .storage for wood, compound miter slider,15" planer Drum sander and various other items being stored in the wood shop. That's enough. God forbid you fart in there you would kill yourself coughing. Seriously considering moving the whole shooting match into something bigger. Yea that'll be a party all by myself. I'm 64 so I can feel your pain. I guess it comes down how bad you wanna make it happen.

CamBam help (General usage) / Re: Delay for Vacuum
« on: November 14, 2022, 13:28:15 pm »
As far as the park position the router needs to travel to Y+ which will allow me to remove the project from the bed and set up for the next project. I use Cambam and nothing else for the time being. By the way I had to change M9 to M8 before I had success with keeping the Vacuum running for the additional 10 seconds after the Router shut off. Thanks for the input.

Seems like x and y positions must be represented in the footer also? Again Thanks for the help! Sooner or later I will get it just  like I need.

Thanks . It's nice to know the procedure in detail.  Hmmm this has got me thinking about including a park position in the same manner.

I need to add about 10 seconds or so delay before shutting down the Vacuum system. Something added in the footer?

Well you just helped someone else. I am at the end of putting together automated pneumatic cylinders to open and close blast gates. Of course you want a delay built in to clear out the cuttings that remain in the PVC and hoses. This idea came from a fellow by the name of Jeremy Feilding posting automated projects on you tube. Yea I will give him a plug because he is that talented. This guy is sharp and also has an automated table saw runs off a pc. Pretty impressive in my book. I love the world of automation for me it's a kick in the pants. Thanks all.

When using File merge does it reassign entity #s or do they remain the same after merging?
