Yes, none are listed in the menu in any case. There must be something about 'mono' the .NET VM thing.

I concur, even tho I haven't bought Cambam yet, and I'm myself very new to CNCing, I find that 98 is rather fine, compared to the price of raw materials and tools I'm going to ruin as soon as I get going!

Just a few random sizes of aluminium plates to do tests are easily 50 quid, same thing with Plex etc; not even mentioning tools -- right now I'm sticking to 'china special' to get my teeth into the task (ahaha) but I know that 'decent' tools are very expensive...

So I think 98 quid is OK, that is, if I can manage to get the damn thing to work for me ;-)

BTW, I downloaded the plugin but the plugin menu shows me 'plugin disabled' so I guess that's why the keypresses aren't working :/
Tried to find an 'enable plugins' setting but nothing jumps to my attention...

Thanks for taking the time tho...

CamBam help (General usage) / Re: Waterline and 'inside perimeter' ?
« on: March 13, 2015, 16:11:21 pm »
So the question is, is there a way of doing it, or isn't there a way to machine this specific STL file? I'm on evaluation session #1 here, so if my #1 'simple' STL' doesn't work, this is going to save me a heck of a lot of time :-)

CamBam help (General usage) / Waterline and 'inside perimeter' ?
« on: March 13, 2015, 12:43:32 pm »
This is my very first try at Cambam. As a first project, I designed a spindle clamp that I already printed, and want to cut in now as two pieces of aluminium sheet screwed together.

Anyway, it looks pretty simple so far, however when I try to apply the '3d waterline' to the object, it wants to actually machine/pocket out the whole of the inside of the clamp itself, while what I'd rather like is to be able to cut an 'inside perimeter' to discard that big piece. and THEN waterline the remaining...

Anyone could point me on how to machine that part?

here's the pic:

I've disabled the alt-click drag move of OpenBox as stated there: http://forum.lxde.org/viewtopic.php?t=1189&f=8

however, I can't rotate in Cambam, anyone tried it?

And no, the other methods for rotating won't work for me, I don't use a 'mouse' on the computer so I can't click multiple buttons at once...

Is it really hard to add other options to rotate? like, in any other programs? Dunno, shift-click, or space bar, or whatever? or even --god forbid-- a 'rotate view' tool?
