Style Libraries
« on: August 13, 2023, 13:18:43 pm »
In my continuous efforts to smooth out switching between operations and my ever expanding tool & style library, I replayed the style library video on the main site.

One of the things it mentioned was, if I copy the standard style library and create a new one from it, renaming to a material, i.e. aluminium-mm.  I then in machining or part in the CAM, define the stock as being aluminium, cambam will intelligently choose the options in the library names aluminium-mm.

Except it doesn't.

I haven't defined any dimensions of any stock material, just naming it 'aluminium', I was surprised to see all the styles still available and not the specifics within the new 'aluminium-mm' library.

Has anyone used this feature and has it working?

Chip,
You named the library "aluminium", but CamBam expects to see "aluminium - mm".  Could that be the culprit?

It could be, though I was just copying the video content instructions.
