Nice demonstration David. Thanks.
Looked al over the program settings and can't find anywhere.. Are inch units supported in this new version of the simulator?

Hello

I think it is unit free (generic units)

edit:
On the CamBam project, I think that Paragon forgot to select Inch units in the toolbar, because in mm it is a very small part .... and a very very small tool (0.375)

Hmm, there is not a option to enter tools in inch. I try to convert inch diameters and enter them as mm tools. ;D

I think you should works with all in Inches or all in mm, as in CamBam, so if your GCode is done in Inches, enter the tools in Inches (NCnetic don't understand fractional, so for 1/4", enter 0.25)

Ok, I try that. Now, help me understand the 'tool table' inputs. What the L, L0 and similar letters stands for. I presume the L stands for Length, the L0 stands for what? D=diameter D0-?

I have attached a screenshot hopefully you be able to help me with this.
Thanks.

Hello

I do not have the last version of NCnetic installed, but on the previous version there is a graphic for each tool profile ; I attach an image if that can help.

D = cutting diameter
D0 = shank diameter
L0 = total lenght
L = flute lenght

Yes, you have to have a slightly twisted brain to be able to imagine what the unrolled model should look like  ;D ;D

Hi David, trying to add 60 Deg V cutter to the NCnetic tool database bu I'm having problem with the angle. Tried multiple options and none seems to work for me.
Now the question I have, since we know what those (D, D0, L0, L) are for.. What the 'Beta, H' are for? Hopefully your version in your native language would more clear.

Thanks.

Not at all !!  ;D

After some tests I get something

Be carefull, D must not be = 0 ... if you want a needle tool, use a very small value for D but not 0

The angle is the slope, not the full angle, so use 30° for a 60° tool.
