Cant Login

I just recieved a text from a user who said he cannot log into the forum. Hes been a user for a good while and his password stopped working. He tried to use the "forgot password" feature but never recieved a reply.

Can one of the admins here see if you can help get him back on?

The forum is not working well since the crash of June ... and currently, new users can't join the forum.

I don't know if I can solve the problem, but I can have a look if you can send me info about this user through PM (mail, user name)

I checked the form messages all day long. David's last message did not show up here until about 7 this evening. It shows it was posted at 8 yesterday evening.

He won't receive a message, it was me who changed the password manually and I gave you the password by PM, I tough you will send it to him .... sorry, I didn't think to send him directly  ... I will send it to him now ..

The problem seems to be that the server does not send any mails. So also a new registration can not work.

Yes, seems to works if I disable the activation mail. I created this account

but I haven't checked if the new account works ! , I'm afraid of disconnecting and not being able to log in again, like that happened some time ago.

Because every time I close my browser all cookies are deleted I have to log in again every time, even right now. As you can see this works without problems.

You can use different browsers on the same computer for testing purposes. For example I often test not logged on view of my blog site from One browser while being logged on on a different browser.  Chrome, firefox, edge, etc.
