Numerical Move - center of rotation
« on: July 04, 2024, 23:50:38 pm »
The Numerical Move plug-in offers the option to enter a fixed xyz center of rotation. Is there any way to fill these boxes by clicking on an endpoint of a line? I know I can look up the coordinates and type them in, but that's error prone.

For that particular need, I simply use the rotate function, instead of numerical move.  I use the numerical move plugin the most, but each has its place.

But if you NEED numerical move to do an odd-angle rotation of a precise number of degrees, draw a point at the end of that line, then select the objects you wish to rotate (but do NOT select that point), and rotate by selecting 'objects' as the rotation point.  Finally move the line back to where its end touches the point you laid down earlier, and you've accomplished the same thing with two small extra steps.
