Thanks, Eddy. We had very little damage -- only a little roofing on the barn. But we had 16 hours without power, and over 8" of rain, so it got a little 'soggy'. We have a generator (not big enough for the air conditioner, but will handle the other loads), but I was loathe to run it full-time, not knowing how long power would be out. So we have a 'checklist', run the genset only 50% duty cycle, and only open fridges and freezers one hour into a 2-hour 'on' period, so they can re-chill before we shut it down.
We got through just fine. Except for the folks in the 'Big Bend' area of Florida and southern Georgia, North Carolina actually got the brunt of it. Whole towns were simply wiped off the planet by 15' deep flash floods. Little Biltmore Village, just down the mountain from the famous Biltmore House, was destroyed, among many others.
We're grateful to the Lord we got by so easily!
