Dialog Box Button Text Disappeared
« on: December 27, 2024, 21:49:37 pm »
CamBam Version 1 on Ubuntu 24.04 and Lubuntu 24.04.

The attached image shows the dialog box when I select "Open".
The text entries on the buttons are missing.

Other dialog boxes show the same problem.

This probably a fault with the windows driver in Linux.
Previous versions of Cambam on previous releases of Linux did not have the problem

Just asking here to see if others have any advice.

Hello

On a french forum people have had the same problem with Ubuntu 24 and texts that disappears .. no known solution yet ..

They also have had problems with some plugins (only those coded in Visual Basic) that thrown an exception when they are loaded even with the libmono-microsoft-visualbasic10.0 installed .. but a guy find a way to solve the problem.

Things to install for VB plugin to be recognized.
Mono Visual Basic Library
You will need to take the package "libmono-microsoft-visualbasic10.0-cil_4.0.1-3_all.deb" but do not forget to take and install this dependency before:

libmono-cecil-vb0.9-cil, essential for installing the VB library

Cambam 1.0 works well with ubuntu 22.04 LTS. Have you tried to use X11 instead of Wayland?
