I have a problem with the script
« on: September 29, 2025, 04:50:47 am »
Hi, I'm having trouble with a script. None of them seem to be doing anything. Do I need to install something? What could be causing the problem? I'm using Win 10, Cambam version 1.0 32-bit. Thanks for your help.

Bogus,
It's of little use to pose such a question without some detail.  You can attach scripts and CB file examples via the 'attachments' button below the posting frame.

Also, some descriptions of what it is, what it does, what language it's written in, and how you're invoking it will all be useful.

We'd love to help but cannot, with the information you supplied.

If the script you are trying run is a Visual Basic one, i.e. filename ends in ".vbs" it will not work any more, you should rewrite it using Python, ends in ".py" and that will work fine.

Hello Eddy

Why ? ... VB script works with CB 1.0 32 bits (but not on the 64 bits version or on Linux) ...

I suppose Microsoft excluded VBS support from some version of Windows after Win 7.

VBS scripts still work on Win10, so long as wscript.exe and cscript.exe are in the appropriate system directories.

I haven't confirmed that CB can invoke them, but I believe it can.
