Broken Fonts
« on: July 20, 2007, 10:04:18 am »
I've just noticed there are certain fonts where the TTF curve extraction is failing for some characters in some fonts.  (see picture).

I am currently investigating the problem and will resolve this in the next release.

since it doesn't seem to do that with all the fonts. it might be somthing with the font files...

i'm sure you dream up some solution.. ;)

CamBam beta 0.7 R7 is working OK.

It was an 'improvement' I made for beta 0.7 R8 that has caused it.

Just need to find what that 'improvement' was.
I'm on the case...

It was indeed a beta 0.7 R8 'improvement'.

The problem is only when displaying the text.

Machine operations based on the fonts work OK.  Converting the font to a polyline also works and it then displays correctly.

This has now been fixed in the development version.
