Parametric Shapes Script
« on: May 08, 2015, 08:10:40 am »
Just for fun I have put together a script based on the work of Matt Wandel (matt.wandel.ca) that might be of interest to some.  Basically, from a set of parametric equations a (2D) polyline is created that could be used for engraving or texturing a surface

The script is really intended for persons with a little programming skill to write their own parametric equations, or modify one of the examples provided.  The VBscript code should be relatively easily understood and adapted to suit needs.  It includes a number of examples.  See code for instructions.

I have attached the script along with several examples.

HI Geoff
Nice, I like 2,3,and 6 shapes a lot as they look kinda 3D.

Yes, thanks Geoff, these will make nice engraving patterns, time permitting I will explore some more equations.
