CamBam plus 0.9.8P (latest stable release)

CamBam version 0.9.8 rev P is now the official 'latest stable release'.

This is basically the 0.9.8P-beta release that has been under 'extended' testing.

Hello,

A little clarification for the installation of this version P.

You must delete the CamBam installation folder before installing version P
(C:\Program Files\CamBam plus 0.9.8 for 32bit systems, or C:\Program Files (x86)\CamBam plus 0.9.8 for 64bit systems) .

If you have already installed CamBam without deleting this folder, you can delete it and reinstall/repair CamBam.

Remember to save your license file before deleting the folder CamBam plus 0.9.8 (file: CamBamPro.lic)

If this CamBam plus 0.9.8 folder is not deleted before installation, Python scripts will not run.

and you will obtain the following error in the message window.

Failed to load language IronPython 2.7.5 .....

Isn't this the other way around? In 64-bit Windows PCs there is a dual software folders structure, i.e. "Program files' for 64-bit software and 'Program files (x86)' for 32-bit software. 32-bit software programs, by default, install to the 'Program files (x86)' folder.  This is to minimise or eliminate the risk of having both 32-bit and 64-bit installs of the same program present, and their installation files creating conflicts and/or performance problems. All this according to Microsoft.

On my 64-bit system CamBam installed to the "Program files (x86)' folder. If CamBam is 32-bit, this is correct. Isn't it?

Yes, correct ; there is only a 32bit version of cambam for Windows and it is installed by default in the "Program files (x86)" folder

If you are owner of CamBam registration number then don't need to buy anything. Just download and install the upgrade. The upgraded version will find the registration number automatically.

Yes there has been activity, a new version is currently in alpha testing, I don't have an expected release date for it.
