Ah OK Ralf, I misunderstand .. To switch the side where to start, you switch between "experimental 0.98" and "None" and vice versa and the "set start point" does not matter... I had understood that with "none" setting, the "set start point" (the small red circle) work ... lol

My simple but stress-free way is:
Generate the toolpath from the pocket.
Make new active layer
Use "toolpath to geometry"
Select all of this toolpath (drag a frame) and choose a engraving mop.
->Comment! Engraving target depth is based on the polyline, not on Z=0 !
Target depth is 0
"Optimization Mode" = the 0.9.8 optimizer

Now the startpoint works perfect on this mop. I can use depth increments for the roughing work. I shift the lines to z=0.
This way needs only 3 minutes but gives me full control.

I use this way for fast facing mop and for pockets.
