Break Polyline at Inflection Points (s)

Here's a quick script for finding the points on a polyline where the curvature changes from convex to concave or vice versa.  It essentially re-samples the polyline at a user supplied step width and examines each segment and its near neighbors to determine if the trending direction changes.  You can specify a look-ahead range for filtering out noisy direction values where the curvature returns to "what it was before" within a few steps.

The script creates a new layer and writes circles of diameter = 2 * step width centered on the inflection points to it along with a copy of the polyline split at the inflection points.
