Well, well, just the idea I had rattling around in my head for a few weeks - screw driver holder.
So, thank you Lake Cruiser and EddyCurrent. Here's a very quick cambam file to cut a plate full
of holes to make a holder like EddyCurrent's. I just guessed at dimensions and the result seems to
work ok.

Thanks, guys and Merry Christmas!

Bubba, if I'm making a screwdriver holder, I'll pick me.

If I'm renting a newly-maintained aircraft, I'll pick you! <G>

LOL, Don't know about that, I was able to work with real artist with the press brake who could create a master piece in their knee creating a part that fit like a glove not only that, it was accepted by FAA certified inspector..

Bubba, I'm a pilot.  I'll select YOUR method over my "quick and dirty" any time when I'm flying aircraft that have been re-built! (everything has a defined cost and a defined quality)

Looks great MikeK.  I thought of the bend instead of the weld but i am new to the brake part of metal fab.  I have the Swag brake and the HF 20 ton press setup that I got a couple of months ago. But I also have a Miller 211 so welding was not big job either.  Thanks for all of the input.  This is how we all learn.

The SWAG?  Is that a press brake that sets on your shop press?  That is one type of brake I wish I had for that occasional piece of 1/4 flat bar I need to bend.  It would sure be nicer than clamping it in one of my bench vises and beating on it with a hammer.  LOL.
Getting started on CNC?  In or passing through my area?
If I have the time I'll be glad to show you a little in my shop.

Bob,
We have a Hossfeld bender, great for bending all kinds of stuff. Got an unbelievable deal off Ebay. $800 as a buy it now for a #2 Hossfeld with the largest collection of dies I have ever seen, and a base!  Paid $250 for shipping, then I sold off the tubing dies cheap so they would go fast, and got $2800 back!  We still have every die in the School package plus a pile of dies to edge bend flats and angles flange in and flange out on about 6 different radiuses. This is my third Hossfeld, once you have one you wonder how you got along without it.

Thanks for the feedback LakeCruiser.
I know next to nothing about machining metal/metal working, but did acquire a Harbor Freight press brake
a couple years ago. It works ok on thin metal. By the way, my cambam file was setup for 1/8" deep cuts
implying a 1/8" sheet of metal, but I actual used a piece of aluminum I had in my garage shop that was
closer to 1/16". I don't think the big red H.F. brake could handle 1/8" at 19 inches long.  Kinda wimpy.

Mile mine was plasma cut out of 16 gauge.  I took me a while to set up the plasma Post Processor for my machine.  It still could use some tweaking but it works.
