Because Zoom To Fit now looks for any selected objects, it automatically works great with Groups.

Hi there,

I've noticed that clicking the "Fit screen view" icon does fit an object to screen in the XY view, no matter which view (e.g. ISO) had been selected first. Is this an expected behaviour?

Grzegorz

P.S. Thanks Eddy!

Yes, that is correct until I get more time to look at it further.

updated version 2.5 attached.

"Fit screen view" now zooms to selected entities whether the view is rotated or not.

Works on Windows and Linux, but with CamBam v1 only

I used the file attached here for testing; http://www.cambam.co.uk/forum/index.php?topic=6348.msg50631#msg50631

Tunc,

1. are you sure the plugin was loaded by CamBam ?, check for error messages in the bottom window
2. it works on CamBam v1 only

Eddy,

sorry for the 'false alarm' here! :(

My first trial left me with no icon toolbar showing up!
But right now i retried (disabled v2 and put v2.5 back into Plugins folder).... and it works!  ;)

CamBam's trying to fool me. :-\

@David: it's win7 x64

And one other thing that came into my mind while having the 'fit to selection' icon working nicely:

Wouldn't the 'F' key make a nice shortcut for this function?!

The zoom plugin that existed before used Alt+Z so I think I'll use that

Thx for considering that, Eddy!

Whatever you'll use is fine. My suggestion was due to the fact that 'Fit' to object was kind of easier memorable by using the simple 'F' key.

Even better would be if CamBam would allow for user definable keys!

updated version 2.6 attached.

The "Fit screen view" option also works from a keyboard shortcut, Alt+Z

Works on Windows and Linux, but with CamBam v1 only

Have a look at this then; https://www.autohotkey.com/
I've not tried it or looked closely to see what it's about but it sounds promising.
