I used up my 40 evaluations before I ever got Cambam to output the gcode I was looking for and was hoping for some advice from those that use cb for a 2 axis lathe before I by a license for software that I haven't gotten to work for me.

First, I'm very comfortable writing gcode by hand so I know that what I'm getting from cb isn't correct. I would typically use G70 and G73 cycles to cut a profile, however I use Mach3 on my home cnc machine and it doesn't support canned profiling cycles, hence my need for software like cb.

I've used this tutorial: http://www.cambam.info/doc/plus/cam/Lathe.htm

My biggest issue is that I don't understand the workflow required to generate both roughing and finishing passes for the same profile and the above tutorial skips over that crucial explanation.

Is there a tutorial somewhere that shows step by step how to generate the roughing mop and then how to make the finishing mop using the same original profile line? I end up with very inefficient results when trying this, so I know that I missing something, and probably something simple.

thanks in advance!
