The link used in the main page (the German flag on the top) is:

http://cambam.pixelmaker.eu/pages/Cambam/Aide/Plugins/plugin_menu_DE.html

Do you have changed something to the path of you plugin site ?

Hello David
i changed the link because i had problems with the certificate.
The link to the subdirectory "pages" did not work anymore.
The URL is now:
https://cambam.pixelmaker.eu/Cambam/Aide/Plugins/plugin_menu_DE.html

I am currently revising all translations of the plugins. And I want to test if it is possible to install all existing plugins in CamBam.  :D

The link here is working okay for me, http://www.atelier-des-fougeres.fr/Cambam/Aide/Plugins/slotter.html
This is the website of the plugin, the download link was broken, but it is working now.

I checked the certificate. I don't see any problems with Firefox and Safari. I checked it again with several online tools and don't get any errors.
The certificate needs a SNI capable browser, so it doesn't work in antique operating systems like Windows XP or Android 2.3.7.
I also checked it with the Digicert Certificate Checker and get an "excellent" rating,
What are you using for a cute browser?

Hello Geoff

A guy on a french forum reported a heavy bug if more that one shape is selected in the slotter mop.

- the cut jump from one circle to the other instead to finish to totally cut each circle

- the start point do not match with the retract position, so we have two start point on the second shape, one without retract and another with the retract

- on the second circle (37), the bottom pass start to cut at the full depth .. and also the tool descend without retract ... the other passes are done in air.

I add the CB file + a video of the problem (cutviewer simu) as attachment.

Here is a video of the real machining (this is the second circle, and by chance when the tool descend, it is just into the vertical groove, so no crash, but it cut the full deep at a time.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Girdke-GJuY&feature=emb_logo

I get the same behavior with V 1.0.6 and 1.0.3 on both CB 0.98 and 1.0

Dear David

Sorry for the late response, I missed the auto notification.

I think the issue relates to the "Optimization Mode".  I am attaching two images, one for Optimization None and one to New(0.9.8).  I think the "None" provides the required/correct result.  Could you please ask your colleague if this resolves the problem.

I don't have an immediate fix, other than selecting Optimization None, this might be the best option regardless.
thanks
Geoff

Hello ;)

I no longer have the file to test, but the workaround is to use a mop per shape and it solve the problem ... the other advantage is that we can define the start point we want for each cut ...

Hello

I fall on a problem, maybe a bug in the plugin, maybe a bug in my mind  :o

If I creates a slot on an open polyline, the cut start at the deepest position in the slot and cut the slot at full depth i.e. the toolpath are in the wrong order. No problem with closed polylines.

CB V1.0 slotter plugin V 1.0.6.0

.. same problem with CB0.98 and plugin 1.0.3.0

Edit: I've found the gremlins .... optimization mode must be set to NONE  !!

David,

The most recent version is 1.0.7, where the Optimisation Mode is set to "None" by default.

Hello Geoff ;)

The latest I found on the forum is the 1.0.6 here ..

https://cambamcnc.com/forum/index.php?topic=6526.msg62242#msg62242

Maybe you forgot to publish the 1.0.7  ?

Also, with the closed shapes, it is important to not define a MOP Start point, because the lead in/out created by the plugin is not placed at the mop start point but always at the polyline start point, so if both are not defined at the same position, we get a cut that start at the mop start point without leadin/out + a retract/engage movement at the 'original' leadin that is created by the plugin.
