V-ENGRAVE Problem sur texte
« on: May 13, 2019, 07:45:03 am »
Bonjour,

1. Select the inclined text
2. From the menu, Edit->Explode
3. This will make some "'Regions"
4. Add the Regions to a V-Engrave Machining Operation (Mop)

Thank you, it works

But Just a small remark, the tool stroke is not very clean for the "0".

I did some engraving myself last week and I also had trouble with the "O" but it was not really noticeable once cut.

Hello

Some trick to solve the problem you show with text.

Play with the resolution value in the V-engrave plugin. (mostly, smaller values)

Change the value for the text to polyline conversion in the option (CB must be restarted) to obtain a more detailed polyline when the text is converted to polyline (manually or when a text object is used in a mop)

this change act only on the text, so if you already have converted the text to polyline/regions, it has no effect and you must redo the "explode text"

and the last chance is to use a "remove arcs" on the polylines(*) so the polyline contains only small straight segments and no arcs ; this works better with V-engrave

(*) explode the regions before, then when polyline are converted with no arcs, redo the regions (ctrl i)
