UAC Problem since Win10 upgrade 1903
« on: August 30, 2019, 10:41:13 am »
Yesterday this f...g-damned win10 forced me to do the latest upgrades...
and BAM - there´s trouble with CAMBAM.
All worked fine until yesterday ... grrrrrrrrrrrrrmpfffff...

It started with asking for the CB license key. I entered, CB started correctly.

But now :

At each start of CB I have to enter the administrator´s password for UAC
("do you want to allow this app to make changes to your computer ?")

I´ve set all shortcuts and .exe to Win7 compatibility and "run as administrator",
for all users. Did not help.

I reinstalled CB. Did not help.

Any ideas ? This is really annoying !

Best regards

Bernhard

Have a read here; http://www.cambam.info/ref/ref.win10

Bottom of that page looks like it could be the answer.

THX, I'll try on monday.
This weekend is reserved for drinking beer and some modifications of my CNC, the famous "Mill'o'mat".

Just easier !

I removed  "run as administrator" from the shortcut on my desktop and everything works fine now.
I dont want to know what the hell this bloody windows has done during it´s upgrade.
Beside this I had to recreate a lot of settings ... ???
