Hi, Created this for our French house the Dragon is a Welsh Dragon, plan to engrave it on to a polished brass plate the Dragon will be filled with red wax and the rest black.

The number 2 has a rather uneven flow, try using, Edit->Polyline->Arc fit, with a value of 0.8 for a start and see how that looks.

Yes, the dragon must be red  :D

What depth will you engrave to ? it's always a guess for me to decide that.

Hi Eddy, The edit polyline worked a treat  ;D
The Dragon and Name is 0.3 mm and the Number will be 0.5 mm all machined with a 45 deg carbide cutter.
I have cut a trial one in a bit of laminate flooring and very pleased with the dragon and name and now the number will be great.

I suppose depth of cut is limited by the cutter angle and hence width of cut.

Yes Eddy its a bit of a balance between depth and width go to deep and you lose the fine detail as with the Dragon so I have 0.3 mm for the fine detail and 0.5 mm to make the number more defined
