Cursor snap problem

I have CamBam 1.0 set to 10mm for large grid and 1mm for small snap grid. I have "Snap to grid" enabled. The cursor snaps to the grid on the X axis but is about .5mm from the grid on the Y axis.
I have tried several things to correct this. I reset the minor grid to .5mm and it snaps correctly to both X and Y axis. I also reloaded the program and this had no improvement to the situation. Is this a bug in the program or have I missed a setting?

It is not the cursor that snaps to the grid but the nodes when drawing.

Previous versions have the cursor snap to the grid and this becomes the position from which the entered nodes start from. With the problem I have, the cursor does not snap to the grid and when a node is initialized, it does start at the cursor position which is not on the grid. Version 9 works OK but I can't use it because it shows up as the free use expired program and it doesn't recognize my registration key for version 1.00

First of all, the licence for version 0.9.8 is also valid for version 1.
There is a file "CamBam Pro.lic" in the programme directory.
This is the licence file. Copy it into the programme directory of version 1 (or 9.9. and restart CamBam.

Snap to grid works in version 1 in exactly the same way as in versions 0.9.8.
The cursor does not snap. Only when an object is selected does the first node snap to grid.
