NCnetic 5 axis FREE Gcode editor / toolpath simulator
« on: April 21, 2021, 00:17:17 am »
Hello

Have a look on this 3 to 5 axis toolpath simulator / Gcode editor from a French coder, it is free.

https://ncnetic.com/

It is not a 3D simulator, it shows only the toolpath (like NCPlot) but you can add a 3D objet as workpiece to see if the toolpaths match the object

Some infos.

To be able to simulate 4-5 axes you must add a 5 axis machine, and you must select the axis orientation ; look at this video.

Hi David,

Nice simulator, after initial start the text will be in French language it can be easily changed to English, and the program need to restarted for the changes to take affect.
I can't get this video to play for some reason.
Thanks for sharing.

Hi David
Excellent gift you gave, thank Kalu.
The only words I know in French are Bonjour and Merci.
The NCnetic simulator uses OpenTK version 3.1.0.0 the same as CamBam.
David speak with Kalu to put in Portuguese from Brazil.

Bonjour  kalu and David

When importing or exporting the DXF file, an element called “bulge” with code 42 located in LWPOLYLINE.

The math expression is:
bulge = Math.tan(sweepangle/4) <-------------
bulge = height/(length/2)

The bulge is the tangent of 1/4 of the included angle for the arc between the selected vertex and the next vertex in the polyline's vertex list.
A negative bulge value indicates that the arc goes clockwise from the selected vertex to the next vertex.
A bulge of 0 indicates a straight segment, and a bulge of 1 is a semicircle.

kalu you could put the source code of NCnetic here or on your website.

Hi David,

Should,   but has no external files with each nationality, example translate_FR
For Portuguese from Brazil translation, it would be translate_PT_BR

The latest version of NCnetic is now available for download.
If you change the line <Language>EN</Language> to <Language>GE</Language> in the file "MainOptions.xml" in the directory C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\NCnetic you have a german translated interface.
Many thanks to Kalu for this

I have been testing the latest version. Small nc files seem OK, large ones run out of memory (eg. +20 Mb), possibly relating to limitations of 32 bit version. Could a 64 bit version be provided?

thanks
Geoff

Hello

A new version of NCnetic is available (1.2) ; add machine representation and a way to move/rotate the STL files used as workpiece
