Timing pulley for "3D printer" timing belt.
« on: June 21, 2022, 03:46:37 am »
Hello friends,
after few months of inactivity due to change work, now I buy another 2030 CNC with water cooled 800W spindle.
I hope will arrive in one week.

Maintime I'm involved to a timing belt reduction gear with a stepper motor NEMA 17.

Actually I have a sample 3D printed pulley, that is very bad.

The belt is G2M that I suppose is the same of 2MGT, 3GT. That assumption is correct?

Some photo clarify.

I would like to cut in policarbonate the pulley, but I do not found the right plugin?

Can you please point me in the right direction to solve the issue?

Thanks

Leo

Hello

The timing pulley is in Plugins/toolkit/Timing Pulley menu ... and is installed at the same time as CamBam ;)

It is HTD5 so for other sizes, after the pulley as been created, you must use the scale tool to set it to the right size.

I have the Gearotic program. I think I can generate a DXF file for you. Send me the particulars. Gary.lucas@verizon.net
